How The 32 Approach Was Built.
I grew up swinging a bat before I could spell my own name. The game was never something I did — it was who I was.
By high school I was traveling every weekend, working with anyone who would teach me, taking thousands of swings nobody saw. The number 32 wasn't just on my back — it became how I prepared. The hours when nobody was watching. The reps that didn't show up on a stat line. The mindset of being a little better than the day before.
That work earned me a spot at Michigan, where I became a four-time All-American. From there I played professionally and lined up against the best players in the world. Every level felt like a new mountain — and every level taught me the same lesson:
When I started coaching, I saw something that broke my heart a little. So many talented players were grinding without a plan. They had drills but no system. They had effort but no framework. They had passion but nobody had taught them how to actually train.
I knew what I would have given to have my older self walk me through it when I was 12, 15, 18. I knew what it would have meant to have someone show me not just what to do, but why, when, and how it all fits together.
So I built it. With Thomas Summers — coach, friend, and the founder of SummersMethod, the science-based strength & conditioning system that powers our entire S&C side — we created The 32 Approach. Every drill, every program, every mental rep is the same work that built my career, paired with the periodized strength training that builds elite athletes.
